BPWood Ltd. Names Proven Growth Leader Ben Meachen as Chief Executive Officer
PENTICTON, B.C., September 16, 2026 - BPWood Ltd. today announced that Ben Meachen has been named Chief Executive Officer and will lead the company effective September 28, 2026.
Company founder Paul Bouchard will transition from CEO to Chairman as BPWood expands its Board of Directors to include two independent directors.
Meachen brings 23 years of experience in wood products, including sales and senior leadership roles in Canada and the United States. His career spans primary producers and major distributors, giving him experience across the specialty wood products value chain, from mill supply and product development through distribution, dealer channels and end markets.

Vancouver-based, Meachen spent more than 12 years with Western Forest Products in British Columbia, where he built his foundation in lumber sales and Western Red Cedar. At OrePac Building Products, he was recruited to help reignite its cedar and specialty wood products business and advanced to Vice President of Specialty Building Materials.
His mandate included commercial leadership of the category, product and market development, and customer and supplier partnerships. He created HAVEN, united a team around that vision and led its launch. He later led the integration of value-added manufacturing into OrePac's specialty wood products business, broadening its product and service capabilities.

Meachen recently completed his term as Chair of the Western Red Cedar Lumber Association (WRCLA) and holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business.
